Roasting hot peppers from our garden

This is the second round of hot peppers we picked.  Notice the amount of habaneros, even chocolate ones!   It's going to be a spicy batch of our house made chipotle sauce.  

Recipe to follow. 

Hot Sauce

12 oz mix hot peppers - smoked for 4 hours or more.  

2 Roma tomatoes

4 tomatillos - smoked

1/2 sweet onion

1 cup cider vinegar

1.5 T honey

8 cloves roasted garlic

1 t of salt and pepper

Remove seeds and stems from peppers.  

Boil all for 5 min and purée in blender.  Pour into squirt bottles and store in fridge.  

Note: I put "everything" on the smoker and smoke it for about 6-7 hours.  Also, a viramix blender works best.   

For a real kick, infuse your favorite tequila with some hot peppers and add a little bit to the sauce.
